Land development work, ground elevation, and demolition of the existing building at Sept-Îles Airport.

Hydro-Québec intends to carry out leasehold improvements on a site located on airport land at Sept-Îles Airport. The new developments are required to meet operational needs, specifically for the storage of materials, mainly line steel, cables, and hardware.

Water accumulation issues are present on the site, and this new initiative will allow for the necessary corrective measures to be implemented.

The first phase of the work (Phase 1) consists of:

  • Demolishing an existing building

  • Removing three telecom distribution poles

  • Raising the ground by approximately 10 inches over an area of about 25,000 square feet with MG65 to accommodate temporary construction site facilities during the second phase of the work

  • Connecting the distribution container

This work will require the use of standard machinery (excavator, wheel loader, snow blower, compactor).
