The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing a project. The Department of National Defence (DND) is proposing to upgrade select Main Service Roads within the Range and Training Area at 5th Canadian Division Support Base Gagetown, near Oromocto, New Brunswick. The project includes road upgrades, drainage improvements, and repairs or replacements of culverts along portions of Shirley, Drummond, Clones, Dunns, and McCutheon Roads to improve safety, logistics, and climate resilience while meeting current transportation and environmental standards.

April 14, 2026 – The public comment period on the project is closed. The Department of National Defence is considering comments received to help inform its determination on whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
