Cat Lake First Nation - Subdivision Development Project

Cat Lake First Nation has proposed a 40-lot multi-use subdivision development project. The project site will be located northwest of the Lawrence Wesley Education Centre. The scope of work includes design and site preparation of the subdivision, installation of access roads, installation of water, wastewater and electrical service connections. Physical activities include clearing, grubbing, earth works, road grading, and installation of service connections. The total footprint size is approximately 48,000m2, with each lot being 1,200m2.

July 3, 2025 - The public comment period on the project is closed. Indigenous Services Canada issued its notice of determination and determined that the project is not likely to cause adverse environmental effects.

April 9, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until May 9, 2025 respecting the determination.
