Enoch Cree Nation ATCO PMR Maskekoshihk Phases 7-9

ATCO is proposing to replace a natural gas distribution pipe at Enoch Cree Nation and complete a pressure upgrade to the distribution system. The proposed project will include the installation of 5.1km of 60mm and 114mm polyethylene distribution mains. In total, 38 service lines will be replaced, disconnected, pressure upgraded, or transferred to the newly installed distribution mains as appropriate.

The new pipe will be installed by a combination of trenchless horizontal drilling and plowing. The proposed pipeline will be installed to serve existing residences and buildings so the project footprint will be mostly within previously disturbed land. No tree clearing is expected.

The proposed project footprint intersects a seasonal graminoid marsh, three temporary graminoid marshes, a wooded deciduous swamp, and a wooded mixed wood swamp. No species at risk or rare plants were identified in the project area. A pre-construction wildlife and nest sweep will be conducted prior to the commencement of any ground disturbance or vegetation clearing activities.
