MIFN MEGH Cabin

The project will include the construction of a rustic cabin, a shed and two outhouses. The main structure will include three bedrooms, a bathroom with a portable toilet, a kitchen and dining space, as well as a living/recreational space. The site will be services by two outhouses, heated wood stove, solar powered lights, a plug-in portable generator and portable water. Access to the site would be provided by an upgraded gravel road (5m wide and 758m long – approximately 3800m2 total) with the buildings having a total constructed area of 150m2.


Latest update

April 14, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada intends to make a determination regarding whether the carrying out of the project is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting public comments until May 14, 2026, respecting that determination.
