I am writing this because I am very concerned about the nuclear waste management organization‘s plan for a nuclear burial in Northwestern Ontario at the site close to Ignace. I spend my time on Rainy Lake and it is home for me. I attended a few Information Sessions and recognized it was set up to inform those from remote communities the benefits. I found the information sessions not to be adequate at all. This is remote and very important area for Canada most unique unspoiled wilderness with such rich and invaluable History of the Ojibway People. This is a very disappointing proposal and the inadequate guidelines throughout. Concerns are clearly an issue as well with the plans to assimilate remote areas into unacceptable irreparable Risks. Not only is this plan in the assessment failing in details from every aspects with the most vague details. Most people in this remote area have no idea how to even navigate through this Impact Assessment process to say the least. My concerns also stand about this project description that should have addressed much more in specific throughout the guidelines for the impact statement. To just name a few. The Plant that will be preparing for shipment. The transfer of waste and the placement? The monitoring process of the storage underground . The guidelines have not included the many types of processes that could have negative impacts. For such a serious project and with such serious risks the process has been very questionable from the beginning. This timeline as well is very disturbing as it is far to short for anyone from what ever country to take this lightly. This is water , all life and for generations that can not just walk away as we all live here with the wilderness. The retrieval process if an accident occurs is not included. The release of air from the board holes at all stages of the project should be included because it could impact the health of all humans, wildlife species and ecosystems etc. The fractures that exist and created by the drilling are not addressed enough . The existing water in the rocks-crevasses is very important and the draft is lacking proper information. It is very concerning after seeing so many failures from the unforeseen in this industry as a whole. Canada does not need to be a test country when the Impact assessment reports foundation is so weak. I request that the assessment process to understand the seriousness of this proposal and it’s clear that the true work in the safety guidelines have been an absolute fail. Nuclear Power is not green if they can’t be responsible for their waste without risking to destroying wildlife with this inadequate proposal. It is not acceptable.

The lack of response to the overall response to the concern in the comments in first impact assessment is very disappointing.

I do not believe that NWMO should be allowed to move forward to this serious project to be allowed to continue.  There are very good reasons this Issue with Nuclear Waste to be safely buried and the draft is a huge red
