Lodge at Bow Lake Redevelopment Master Plan

The Lodge at Bow Lake (formerly known as Num-Ti-Jah Lodge), located on Highway 93 North in Banff National Park, is proposing a redevelopment master plan in accordance with the Redevelopment Guidelines for Outlying Commercial Accommodations and Hostels in the Rocky Mountain National Parks (2007). The proposed redevelopment will include: an addition and improvements to the existing main lodge; the construction of new overnight guest accommodations; redevelopment and construction of staff housing; construction of guest amenities (small hot pool facility) and day-use focused services (café and gallery); construction of service roads and surface parking; and revegetation and landscaping of the lodge surroundings. Redevelopment activities are scheduled to commence in the spring of 2024 and will be phased.

Scope:  Parks Canada requires that the proponent complete a Detailed Impact Assessment for this Project to assess potential impacts of the redevelopment master plan on the Park's ecological integrity, cultural resources, species at risk, and visitor experience values.
