Summit Lake PG LNG Project

JX LNG Canada Ltd. is proposing to develop a new liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility located about 30 kilometres north of Prince George, British Columbia (B.C.). The Summit Lake PG LNG Project would produce up to 2.7 million tonnes of LNG per year and include storage capacity for up to 200,000 cubic metres of LNG. The project would operate for 30 years. As part of the overall project, the proponent would build a new two-kilometre pipeline connecting to an existing natural gas pipeline. Ten kilometres of new rail track would also be built to connect to the existing rail network. The LNG would be transported to the west coast of B.C. for shipment overseas.
