Update from Fisheries and Oceans Canada

Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO) has determined that it no longer has responsibilities under section 82 of the Impact Assessment Act with respect to the proposed Port Haney Waterfront Redevelopment Project. As a result, DFO will not be conducting an assessment or making a determination as to whether the project is likely to result in significant adverse environmental effects.

The review and determination of the proposed project will proceed without the involvement of DFO and will be carried out by the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority, in accordance with their respective legislative requirements and regulatory processes.
