Whitefish Lake First Nation Existing Subdivision Lot Development Project – Public Comments Invited

March 27, 2026 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the Whitefish Lake First Nation Existing Subdivision Lot Development Project located on Whitefish Lake First Nation #128 reserve lands is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects. To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination.

The Proposed Project

Whitefish Lake First Nation #128 is proposing to develop 15 residential lots adjacent to an existing subdivision on Great Plains Road. Proposed project activities include lot grading, surface drainage, lot access development, and lot servicing for water and sewer. No vegetation clearing will be required as the lots have already been cleared.
