Cat Lake First Nation - Subdivision Development Project
April 9, 2025 – Indigenous Services Canada must determine whether the proposed subdivision development project at Cat Lake First Nation is likely to cause significant adverse environmental effects.
To help inform this determination, Indigenous Services Canada is inviting comments from the public respecting that determination. All comments received will be considered public. For more information, individuals should consult the Privacy Notice on the Registry website.

The Proposed Project
Cat Lake First Nation has proposed a 40-lot multi-use subdivision development project. The project site will be located northwest of the Lawrence Wesley Education Centre. The scope of work includes design and site preparation of the subdivision, installation of access roads, installation of water, wastewater and electrical service connections. Physical activities include clearing, grubbing, earth works, road grading, and installation of service connections. The total footprint size is approximately 48,000m2, with each lot being 1,200m2.
