Notice of Commencement of an Impact Assessment

Ottawa — November 8, 2024 — The Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC) has commenced an impact assessment pursuant to the Impact Assessment Act for the Strange Lake Rare Earth Mining Project.

IAAC has issued the following documents to the proponent to guide the development of the Impact Statement and the conduct of the impact assessment for the project:

• Joint Impact Statement Guidelines (document developed jointly with the Province of Newfoundland and Labrador)
• Indigenous Engagement and Partnership Plan
• Public Participation Plan
• Cooperation Plan
• Permitting Plan
