Notice of Time Limit Resumption

Ottawa — September 16, 2024 — On August 30, 2024, the Nunatsiavut Government (the proponent) provided its response to the Summary of Issues and Detailed Project Description for the New Nain Airport Project (the project) to the Impact Assessment Agency of Canada (IAAC). On September 11, 2024, IAAC determined that these documents contain the information prescribed by the Information and Management of Time Limits Regulations. The proponent thereby completed the activity for which it requested that the time limit be suspended on March 28, 2024, and the 180-day time limit has resumed as of August 30, 2024.

The 180-day time limit is the period of time within which IAAC must provide the proponent with a notice of the commencement of the impact assessment, if IAAC decides that an impact assessment of the project is required.
